Infinitus Art Studio is Australia's first Visionary Art gallery dedicated to Visionary and Sacred Art. Nestled in the tropical Rainforest village of Kuranda in Australia's North East, Infinitus opened its doors on August 25th 2012. Artists and curators, Donna Raymond and Adam Scott Miller will facilitate a space where Visionary art can be displayed in a formal setting, celebrating the myriad of mystical transmissions, spiritual insights and journeys into the unknown realms of consciousness.
In Australia, the Visionary Art movement is in its infancy, and we aim to create a grounded platform to share, connect, catalyze, and expose visionary creativity to people from across the globe. We are located in a tourist hot spot, with hundreds of travelers making a return stroll past our door towards the impressive Barron Falls. Our intention is to open our doors to many different demographics of people from around the world, that would otherwise be sheltered from this type of artwork. Part of this space is our working art studio, which we've decided to welcome the public to share in the mystique of the creative process-in-action. When one is not familiar with the creative process, watching an artist work becomes majick as each stroke of the brush changes a work instantaneously. As artists, we love to paint live and allow people to witness the flow and enigma of a new painting, so it makes sense that we open our studio doors for the general public, so that a deeper understanding and appreciation for the time and energy involved in creating a finished piece can be understood in more depth and clarity. The "Grand Opening" will be on November 17th 2012, with an international visionary art exhibition entitled "Divine Align"
Infinitus Art (Latin for "infinite" and implying "infinite us") will host solo and group shows, thematically ranging from "international visionary art" to "indigenous Australian." Foremost, we've recognized that Visionary Art needs a refined space beyond the usual informal presentations in festivals. These are the humble beginnings of what will increasingly grow as a symbolic beacon for harmonious living and visionary creativity. Part of our inspiration is knowing how our own dreaming will catalyze many others to do similarly.
An addition to the gallery is our "DnA PermaSculpture" garden: plants and sculptures growing from a space embodying sacred geometrical proportions in its layout. The sculpture garden will elegantly integrate permaculture design systems, in so doing, functioning as a specific example of what can be created in the Tropical Rainforest. We take in the sustenance of inspiration from nature, so symbiotically we wish to give back by creating a habitat that nurtures a harmonic spectrum of local biodiversity. Our intention is to educate guests about natural systems and ecological relationships, in hopes of inspiring visitors to take ideas from our humble example and apply them practically in another space. Infinitus Art and DnA PermaSculpture are convergent expressions of profound living, as a caduceus of energy and earth- marrying art and ecology as a holism of health and happiness.
